What makes Warrior work is not only the acting but the drama is quite compelling, touching and emotional given. There is more depth than expected as it has a great buildup to its characters- and they seem like real people rather than just one dimensional caricatures. Lead by a great cast and great acting from its leads, this film is quite a step above simply a fighting film. Quite a compelling and interesting story unfolded with the main topic of mma fighting in "Warrior". But when Brendan's unlikely rise as an underdog sets him on a collision course with Tommy, the two brothers must finally confront the forces that tore them apart, all the while waging the most intense, winner-takes-all battle of their lives. Even though years have passed, recriminations and past betrayals keep Brendan bitterly estranged from both Tommy and his father. As Tommy blazes a violent path towards the title prize, his brother, Brendan, a former MMA fighter unable to make ends meet as a public school teacher, returns to the amateur ring to provide for his family.
